Build confidence in navigating uncertainty, adapting to change and staying effective when clarity is limited.

Working in research and insights means operating in an environment where priorities, client expectations, technologies and ways of working can shift quickly. For those earlier in their careers, this can sometimes feel exciting — but also overwhelming, particularly when information is incomplete, expectations are unclear or plans continue to evolve.

This interactive workshop helps participants understand how uncertainty and change affect them personally, and equips them with practical tools to stay grounded, adaptable and effective when situations feel ambiguous or outside their comfort zone. For those earlier in their careers, uncertainty often shows up in everyday moments — waiting for feedback, managing changing client expectations, navigating unclear priorities or interpreting incomplete information. The workshop explores how the stories and assumptions we create when clarity is limited can affect confidence, focus and behaviour, and provides practical strategies for responding proactively and effectively when situations are evolving or unclear.

Using models such as the Change Curve, Circle of Control and Comfort–Stretch–Panic model, participants will build greater self-awareness and confidence in how they respond to change, challenge and ambiguity. The workshop also explores practical ways to seek clarity, ask for support earlier and maintain momentum when situations are evolving or unclear.

By the end of the session, participants will feel more equipped to navigate uncertainty with confidence, communicate more proactively and approach change and new challenges with greater self-belief and curiosity.
